New 45-foot MEGC trailer from Hydrogen Flow in the FPS.Energy fleet
With a new 45-foot MEGC trailer from Hydrogen Flow, FPS.Energy is expanding its capacity to transport fuel-cell-grade hydrogen.
The type-4 45-foot trailer is designed for an operating pressure of 380 bar and has 129 cylinders across 10 sections. That gives a total hydraulic volume of around 45,150 litres at a gross vehicle weight of 39 tonnes. It is filled with gaseous fuel-cell-grade hydrogen (purity > 99.97% to DIN EN 17124) – suitable for direct use in fuel-cell vehicles such as hydrogen buses.
The trailer was built by Hexagon Purus in Weeze and, before handover, went through a full technical acceptance by Hydrogen Flow and FPS.Energy – from the safety valves and the connections to the emergency shutdown. As a new vehicle with no prior damage, it is ready for service now.
With this addition we further increase our transport capacity for hydrogen deliveries to industry, public-transport operators and filling stations – another building block towards reliable, growing hydrogen infrastructure.
